On January 11, 2025, SemegaChange CEO Niouma Semega was interviewed by HERcast Podcast host, Dr. Chito. The interview, which aired on Star 67 Channel, discussed Semega’s academic and professional success with her nonprofit organization. 

HERcast is a Nigerian-based podcast that empowers women in the professional space. Covering topics such as events within SemegaChange and future projects, Dr. Chito and Semega discussed professional development projects that span across different continents. 

Semega said that the interview served as a way to bring SemegaChange to Nigeria for future on-the-ground projects. 

“It was such an honor and pleasure to join Dr. Chito on her podcast for her viewers to know about the work that SemegaChange is doing,” Semega said. “I appreciated Dr. Chito’s questions as well as she admired the work that we’re doing and encouraged other women of color in STEM to keep going. I’m just so honored and happy that we were able to get the Nigerian community on board and to support the mission of SemegaChange”
