SemegaChange launched its EmpowerHer program in October 2025, supporting young girls education in Senegal and Ghana. In collaboration with the Africa Children’s Foundation, full-ride scholarships were provided to 15 young girls across Senegal and Ghana to receive private education. Tuition for recipients extends from one to five years.

The EmpowerHer program intends to increase education access in Senegal and Ghana while providing financial support to low-income families. Focus areas for recipients of the scholarship include education, health, and youth empowerment. The program has since partnered with local schools in both Senegal and Ghana to send targeted educational initiatives to students.

SemegaChange CEO Niouma Semega said “it has been great partaking in a program to send young girls to school so they are given a chance at learning and chasing their goals and dreams.”
